Ready-to-Go Making Money Online Wordpress Theme

I am a BIG FAN of Wordpress for creating websites. I love the fact that you can literally have your site up and running in less than 5 minutes and then change the entire look of the site in a matter of seconds with custom theme templates.

Now I have purchased many themes over the last couple of years and have joined several “Template Clubs” to have access to their entire collection of themes. But of all themes I have purchased in the past, there was no perfect one that I had found that really looked great and was already setup to monetize the entire site. Well I finally found one!

Carl Ocab (also known as the Kidblogger) has come out with one of the best Wordpress themes I have seen so far. Not only is the look very clean and professional, but it also comes with 6 different color layouts that you can change with one click of your mouse. He did an outstanding job with his ad placements throughout the site as well. You can tell he took a lot of time and consideration figuring out where the best places would be to get the most ad visibility and click throughs.

I am also a huge fan of the 3 box widgets at the top of the site and the subscription boxes he designed. They look great and it is easy for visitors to sign-up for your newsletter and/or RSS feed. He set the entire theme up so it is extremely easy to customize as well.

As for the pricing, it is pretty reasonable. You can purchase the theme for $67 for a single-use license, meaning you can only use it on 1 blog. That’s a “Just OK” price in my opinion. But you can purchase an unlimited-use license for only $97 which allows you to put it on an unlimited amount of blogs that you own. Now that’s a much better deal. That is the option we chose, as we plan on using the theme on several blogs we have in the works.

As for this site, I had the basic layout done before we purchased Carl’s theme, otherwise I probably would have used that one right out of the box. So, what I did was I kept the same theme I had already purchased from Revolution Two and took some of my favorite sections of the Ultimate Blogging Theme and combined them to create Making Money Online Dot Com. I also added a few of my favorite plugins, and that was basically it.

Another cool thing that Carl gives you with the purchase of his theme is a complete video tutorial on how to set your entire blog up. It makes setting up a site super simple. I wish everything came with video tutorials, as it would make like much easier.

If any of you out there have purchased the Ultimate Blogging Theme already and are using it for your blog… please submit your site’s URL in the comments box below so we can take a peek at it, and hopefully send you some additional traffic.

Thanks Sandeep! Yes, we just opened the site a couple of weeks ago, but spent quite a bit of time making sure the layout was just right before we went live.

Yours has CommentLuv and Reply links… cool. I was not sure if that was possible as most sites that I see with CommentLuv do not have the option to reply to individual comments in a thread. For some reason the plugin I use does not play well with CommentLuv.

I’ve purchased Studio Press themes a whole lot. I love them and they way that they have been customizable is awesome. Recently, its been a little more difficult but, Brian makes time to help me out personally. That’s quality customer service! :D

As long as the upgrade is free, I would upgrade it! By the way, how did you change the whole blog? Any hint? I would like to make my blog look better than now.

Wow, this Carl guy is definitely on top of his game. I had never heard of him before now. And his Ultimate blog theme looks like it delivers on all of the promises that he makes. As far as paying for previously made themes go, this one looks like a good deal. You know that it comes from someone who has walked the walk and doesn’t just talk the talk.

Yeah… Carl has been around for several years now and he is best known for being #1 in Google for the search term, “Make Money Online” for years… plus he is SUPER YOUNG! He is still up at the top, but I don’t think he is #1 at the moment. He did create an awesome theme though!

Like many bloggers I have changed many themes, and while there are many free themes available I wanted something more professional and so because of all the hype I bought Thesis and was sorely disappointed. Sure it was good, but it wasn’t as easy to configure as they made it out to be.

So the hunt resumed until I found the present theme that I use on eight or so of my blogs and each one has a unique feel about it.

    • Doug Dillard on Mon, 10th Aug 2009 10:16 pm

Theme selecting is tough Sire, as there always seems to be another cool one that comes along. You definitely seem to have chosen a great design. As for Thesis… what didn’t you like about it?

      • Sire on Mon, 10th Aug 2009 11:08 pm

It was promoted as a theme that could be used straight out of the box, and that everything could be controlled by the control panel, but that just isn’t so. Still I paid for it and so I use it on my loadofbullshit.com blog. Poetic justice huh?

          That is poetic justice :)

People sure do swear by Thesis though. I was going to get it just to play around with it… but I think I will hold off for a while. Thanks!

There is a free version of my theme called flexibilty which will give you a really good idea of what I use for my theme.

  9. Lee Ka Hoong on Mon, 10th Aug 2009 12:58 am

That’s a nice wordpress theme, this is a SEO optimized themes. I’ve planned to get it but after I knew that a lot of people bought it and it was not unique anymore. I personally like a unique themes that no one is using. Anyway, it’s a nice theme! :)

Btw, are you designing this makingmoneyonline blog theme yourself Doug?

    Regards,
    Lee

    • Doug Dillard on Mon, 10th Aug 2009 10:12 pm

Lee… I put most of it together, but had our programmer do a lot of the CSS stuff, as I am not really good at that.

      • Lee Ka Hoong on Tue, 11th Aug 2009 4:03 am

Having a programmer partner is really good, if I don’t know about these then I need to spend money to hire someone to do this for me. I always want to have a customize theme for my blog, but customize theme is really expensive. I’ve asked UniqueBlogThemes for quotation before, it was about $2500 if I’m not mistaken.

Anyway, you have a great theme indeed!

        Regards,
        Lee

        • Doug Dillard on Tue, 11th Aug 2009 8:09 am

Thanks Lee! I don’t have a partner that is a programmer either. We use someone we found on Elance for programming stuff.

    Hello Doug,
I like how you have introduced this theme to us, as it shows your appreciation for the creators work. It’s inspiring to hear about people who create such designs and make it to meet their users functionality. I also like what you have done with your site, incorporating your favourite sections of the Ultimate Blogging Theme to that of your existing Revolution Two theme. That shows persistence and passion in making the most of what you want to achieve through use of your creativity.
    Your article is inspiring.
Kind regards and thank you for visiting my blog and posting such a useful reply on framing.
    That really does help. :)

      Ana,
Having a partnership in this blog can be confusing. Doug does the lion’s share of posts on this site, and he gets all the credit for great posts and comments! I on the other hand, am happy to work behind the scenes and let Doug shine.

I like your website as well, and was glad to offer some useful tips in regards to framing your wonderful watercolor paintings. It is amazing how diverse our community is, and how helpful we can be to each other.

Thanks for your comments, and I will talk to you again on your blog.

      Sincerely,
      the other Doug, Mark

The theme looks nice. I guess it’s good for those people who want a theme that works out of the box.
