As most of you know the last couple of weeks we have been giving away custom logos (courtesy of LogoNerds.com) as prizes in our Making Money Online Subscriber Contest… and this coming Friday we will be giving away a custom character mascot as well.
If you saw the results from the first raffle… you know that Samjien from Home Affiliates won the first custom logo. She was definitely in need of a logo upgrade, as she does not actually have one at this time, so it worked out great for her.
Right after she won I put her in contact with Joseph over at LogoNerds so she could explain to him exactly what she wanted for a logo and here is what she she requested for her logo design.
Can I make my logo design similar to your “LogoNerds” logo design? I really like your design and I couldn’t think of anything better. I want the design to be the same as your LogoNerds design with the full name: Home Affiliate and then with a subtitle (Make Money Online, Health & Fitness, Urgent Job Hiring) beneath it. Also, I want the “o” in H(o)me affiliate to be replaced with a house icon that is kinda round instead of “o”. As with the colors to be used. It would be black and red. Can you also please add a shiny mirror shadow on my design just like the shadow of your company logo “LogoNerds”?

You can’t do that, as I believe you are only going to get one final complete logo and the rest will have the watermarks in the background… unless you can work out a deal with LogoNerds

The ones I like the most though, would be concept 3 and 5. Maybe 3 is my favorite, but it’s a tough call.

I vote for # 5, they are all very good but number 4 and 5 seem less busy.
Don’t seem as busy as the others. More of a ying and yang look to it. Two color and the home logo is cleaner. The Red stands out on affiliate.

I personally like concept #4…. but seems like nobody voted for this one… actually it’s really difficult to decide without seeing how it looks like in the header of your site… maybe you could create a screenshot and add each logo to help you to make a decision.

Oh just one more thing, from looking at the logo, it seems like it’s an affiliate site for promoting homes…. but actually Samjien’s blog is about making money online from home, right? It’s a little bit confusing… that’s probably the design of the house that made me feel so… just my opinion.

Someone from home trying to help others by giving them ideas, sharing information on how they can make money online. How to stay healthy and fit and hopefully, be able to help them land a job. To me, I will pick concept #4 as my favorite logo. Simply because it’s a one-glance-understandable type of logo piece with less tiring viewing as well. Tidy, less spacing required. Can work well as avatar, 125×125 ads etc. If it’s a logo, I would prefer a shorter phrase as ‘make money online’ — simple is more.
Of course, depends on how she plans to place the logo. Unless it’s more of a header-like, then others will match up for that. Just a little opinion. ^^

I really like that revision. If it was my logo, I’d request a little change to the reflection below the graphic. I would just have the words “Home Affiliate” reflect and not the subtitle. In my opinion, it’s a little cluttered like that. Other than that, I think it’s a stellar logo!
Logo Nerds sure does some awesome work. It truly makes me wonder why I paid what I did for my logo. Don’t get me wrong, I am proud of my logo, but I paid a lot more than what Logo Nerds are asking for, and they do amazing work!
