We are getting ready to launch the Business Spotlight section of this site where each week we will be interviewing successful online business owners. Our vision is to interview Internet Entrepreneurs from as many different niches as possible, to give our readers a broad look at the different possibilities that are out there for them.
As we get started we are not sure what the best way to present this to you should be. Should it be all text, audio, video, or any combination of the three? Our goal eventually is to travel to the different locations where our interviewees will be and do one-on-one video interviews, but that will be down the road a bit.
Here are several questions we have come up with (in no particular order).
- When did you get started making money online?
- How did you make your first dollar online?
- What was your first big success?
- When you first started, did you have a full-time job as well? If so, at what point did you quit your full-time job to focus on your online business?
- What do you do yourself and what do you outsource?
- Do you have employees?
- How much time do you spend each day online?
- How long did it take you to consistently make money online?
- What key factors contributed to your success?
- What were your goals when you started your online business?
- What key advice would you give to someone just starting out?
- What niche do you think is still viable?
- What do you think is the next big thing online?
- How long do you stay with a product before you move on to the next one?
- Who are your influences/mentors?
- Other than yourself, who would you recommend as a great resource?
- Who do you respect in this business?
- What is your favorite quote and why?
- Finish this sentence: I am the best in my field because…
- What is your favorite book?
- What is your one “Must Have” piece of software?
- What is your homepage when you turn on your computer?
- If you were just starting out today, but know what you know, what would you do to make money online?
- Do you have a favorite blog, and if so, what is it and why?
- What do you feel is the lifespan of an online business?
Those are just some of the questions we came up with so far. We will tailor the questions for each particular person we interview. What other questions would you like us to ask? Also, is there any particular Internet Entrepreneur that you would like us to interview? Please leave your answers in the comments section below.

Wow, this is going to take some thought. I like the idea though and I am curious to see who you end up interviewing, the blog looks great btw.

I can’t wait to see some of these interviews. I think you should do all 3. It would be a lot different from what I normally see.
How many interviewing John Chow, Shoemoney, Johncow, and TylerCruz.

We have our first 4 interviewees lined up and should have our first one live next Monday… hopefully.
One of our plans is to not just interview bloggers (even though we will interview some), but to interview successful Internet Entrepreneurs from every niche imaginable (with a few exceptions). We want our readers to see there are lots of options for making money online.

hmm. Interesting Stuff.. Interviews really help, but many marketers don’t really give out the truth… maybe you could ask them for a free report which gives out stuff and not just fluff for all visitors of your blog.
Gabor Olah of PLRWholesaler.com.. this guy operates independently and has nor workforce, I would love to hear how he did it…
Cheers

I would have to agree not everyone is going to give out honest information, however interviewing them might lead to interviewing options with someone who previously had numerous sites online that generated revenue. Someone like that would be more telling and honest about how they achieved that success.

Doug, my friend Ginger over at http://www.girlsjustwannahavefunds.com recently interviewed an amazing personal finance author and I was wondering, think you could shoot for getting Robert Kiyosaki interviewed? He is the author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I know he’s done a lot online but his business started on the ground level off line. I think it might be an awesome opportunity to try and get him on here.
