As you know we changed up the rules last month from the month before to give more people an opportunity to win. Well this worked out well, but there was quite a bit of a drop in commenting from the month before, which is okay, but we would like to see if we can get it back up a little this month.

So we have decided to make just one small adjustment to last month’s rules. To qualify to get your name put in the raffle it will still only take 5 comments for the entire month to get you an entry. But now you can earn additional enteries to increase your odds of winning. For every 5 comments you leave, you will get one entry into the raffle. So if you leave 5 comments you would get one entry… but if you leave 25 comments for the month you would receive 5 entries. Makes sense to everyone? Here are the official rules below…

*RULES: The rules are very simple. On the last day of each month we will pull 2 names out of a hat and the winners will each win 1 FREE month of banner space in our designated area. We reserve the right to refuse anyone and any banners that we do not feel are appropriate for this site. To qualify to get your name in the drawing all you have to do is submit at least 5 comments throughout the entire month. You can earn additional entries with every 5 comments that you leave. If you leave 10 comments you would receive 2 entries. If you left 15 comments you would receive 3 entries, and so on… So you will need to comment at least once on 5 different posts to qualify. For a comment to count, it does not have to be long, but it does have to be useful to us and/or our readers. Just writing, “Great Post! Need Your Help Choosing a Logo

As most of you know the last couple of weeks we have been giving away custom logos (courtesy of LogoNerds.com) as prizes in our Making Money Online Subscriber Contest… and this coming Friday we will be giving away a custom character mascot as well.

If you saw the results from the first raffle… you know that Samjien from Home Affiliates won the first custom logo. She was definitely in need of a logo upgrade, as she does not actually have one at this time, so it worked out great for her.

Right after she won I put her in contact with Joseph over at LogoNerds so she could explain to him exactly what she wanted for a logo and here is what she she requested for her logo design.

Can I make my logo design similar to your “LogoNerds” logo design?  I really like your design and I couldn’t think of anything better. I want the design to be the same as your LogoNerds design with the full name: Home Affiliate and then with a subtitle (Make Money Online, Health & Fitness, Urgent Job Hiring) beneath it. Also, I want the “o” in H(o)me affiliate to be replaced with a house icon that is kinda round instead of “o”. As with the colors to be used. It would be black and red. Can you also please add a shiny mirror shadow on my design just like the shadow of your company logo “LogoNerds”?

MakingMoneyOnline.com August Recap – Also Only Two Days Left to Win Banner Package

Wow… another month has come and gone! Since it’s the last day of the month I guess it’s time to recap the month gone by, and tomorrow we will announce the winners of Making Money Online Dot Com’s “Who Comments Most” competition for August.

But before I get into those things, I want to remind everyone that you have 2 days left to get into the Tuan Nguyen Interview Contest where you have a chance to win a custom Banner Package (which includes 5 different size custom banners) for just reading my interview with Tuan and then just leaving 1 Comment… that’s it. So what other stuff has happened this past month…

I got interviewed twice in one month. Now that was definitely cool, as the only other time I have ever been interviewed for anything was when my oldest son was in second grade. He had to interview me for a school project, which was cool…but it wasn’t the same, as he was forced to interview me. At least with these two interviews, no one was forcing them (I hope).

• Famous Blogger Club Interview – This is one of several interviews Hesham Zebida from zebida.com is doing on “up and coming” bloggers. It’s a nice simple 5 question interview. If you get a chance you should go read all the interviews he has done so far, as it is a great way to learn a little more about some of your favorite bloggers.
• The Money Cult Interview – This was very cool for me too. I got to be Jared’s Guinea Pig and do his first interview. Jared is looking for more people to interview, so if you are interested you should shoot him an email.

On top of those interviews I shared a little bit of how I got started online in my post, “I Used to be a Dotcom Millionaire, Well at Least on Paper”.

Last thing… this morning I read a post from Brian of SEOMkt.com about a contest Keller Hawthorne is running over at Fresh eVenture called the Best WordPress Design 2009 Contest. She is offering several great prizes, so I thought we would give it a shot. Do I think we have the best WordPress design for 2009? Absolutely not, but our design is okay, and I have no idea how many people have entered, so we might have a shot to win something. Also, it’s just another great way to get our name out in front of a larger audience, so you might think about doing the same. If you want to enter you have until Midnight Eastern Time tonight.
